If you’ve never worked with me before here’s what I want you to know.
I have held a lot of roles over the course of my career. And selling has been a constant thread throughout them all — from starting and running a crisis intervention program to representing Mary Kay Cosmetics to selling hundreds of thousands of dollars’ worth of corporate training initiatives and consulting programs to big companies like Delta, BellSouth, Wells Fargo, and Coca Cola. Since 1984, I’ve coached literally hundreds of top-level professionals. And, today, if someone told me to go sell a tree, there’s no doubt in my mind that I could run over to Pike’s and sell someone a tree. I know business!
Believe me, I’m not asking you to do anything I wouldn’t do.
I feel the malaise and the blahs, too. And I’ll tell you, creating this three-day business retreat has been a bold action to take at a time when it certainly would have been a lot easier to sit back, eat chocolate, and watch TV. But it’s also been incredibly energizing and exciting. I wake up differently. My days are structured differently. I’m having amazing conversations with so many colleagues.
