Be seen. Be heard. Be known. Get hired.

We all want that, right? I do. In the cluttered entrepreneurial marketplace, we must engage in activities that expand our presence so that potential clients may know, like, trust, and also hire us. Unless we are participating in strategic on-line and off-line activities, we are missing the boat, and missing real opportunities to connect with those that truly want to hear our personal message.

According to Thesaurus.com, “Presence is the ability to project a sense of ease, poise, or self-assurance, especially the quality or manner of a person’s bearing before an audience.”

Over the next few weeks I’ll be exploring and sharing about the concept of professional presence with you via social media and in-person events and conversations. I’m going to speak about the importance of expanding our presence, getting known, exploring new avenues and audiences, to that we can also expand our impact in the world. Our clients expect that of us, and we are really excited to do this. However, we often just don’t know where to begin or what to do first or next. We are a bit shy, timid, and sometimes we are downright scared.

So, I ask you this. Where do you need to bump up your presence this year? Is it online, by sharing more Facebook “lives”, webinars, articles and postings shared on social media? Maybe an upgraded web presence? Or would it be in your best interest to show up at new networking events, attending workshops and conferences, and possibly leading your own events and speaking on other people’s stages?

Though it may seem daunting, and you are not sure which way to go, or which way to turn, I invite you to join forces with professionals who can support you and speed up the process, and help you create the results you intend. You owe it to yourself. You are worth it, and this is the year to expand your presence, and be seen, heard and known.
