How did that happen? I must admit, it’s gotten me by surprise! In the blink of an eye, I find myself living in a dual reality: wanting to create, work and lead, yet, equally wanting to lounge around, reminisce about my Italy trip, and create my next Italian adventure. Maybe it’s because I’m a Libra! Reality sets in! And now my mind is fresh with ideas, prolific in possibilities, and now putting pen to paper (journal and calendar) to schedule and commit to moving things forward.   I’m sharing a simplified and short list of my thought questions, helping me to zoom in on what I really want to accomplish in the next couple of months.   Hope you will find inspiration and that you, too, will get into action. ✔ What do I want November and December to look like?  ✔ What is already scheduled and planned?✔ What does the first quarter of 2020 look like? What is scheduled?✔ What revenue would I like to generate in this time?✔ What’s the best way for me to do that?✔ What is my community/tribe calling for? What is being said? What is being said in the “unspoken”?✔ What resources do I need in order to achieve these results? Do I need additional “Team”?✔ Who do I need to “be” in the matter of my business? Am I committed to this? Though this list is a short one, and not nearly complete, it will get you moving in the space of “forward thinking” and setting intentions. These questions are the same whether we do short-term or long-term planning and provides a context and direction.   Finish Big! Enjoy the journey. Take ground in moving forward towards what you really truly desire and intend.  [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Over the years I’ve noticed that  many people put their business building activities on hold. The kids are out of school, vacations are imminent, it’s hot, and I hear phrases like “I don’t wanna.” Many associations and service groups close up for the summer, cease regular meetings, and post an imaginary sign that says “Gone Swimming!”. What if you looked at Summer as the time that gardens grow profusely, yielding abundant crops? You know that gardens usually grow a boatload of zucchini, right? You’ve been planning seeds all year, and if you are doing the right income generating activities: meeting, connecting, sharing, speaking, and selling….then it doesn’t really matter what month is highlighted on the calendar. Each of us determines how our business goes and grows….or not. Research suggests that if you stop, take time off, and retreat that it’s much like losing three to six months of business, and it will take a lot to get things up and running again. That’s not what we really truly want. Consider these tips to keep your business quenched and humming along during the long hot summer. Plan your schedule and keep steady with online and offline commitments. Search for and maintain networking and connecting activities, adding fresh new contacts to your community or tribe. Keep building your list. Schedule 3-5 (or more) virtual coffees per week. Listen for what you can contribute and reap. Host Pop-Ups, Webinars or Events to keep in front of your tribe. Schedule sales conversations, extend offers, and gain new clients. Delegate whatever can be delegated, and remember that delegate does not mean “dump”. Treat yourself to a fun vacation, enjoy play dates, day trips, and long weekends all year long, so you don’ t feel the need to take the entire summer off. Now, pour yourself a cool, pretty drink, add a little umbrella, and go to work. Ease up, yet don’t stop. Your prospects, clients, your family, and your self will thank you from the bottom of their hearts. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Why is that? I think I have some insight and I’d like to share my thoughts. From what I’ve learned over the many years that I’ve been leading and hosting networking events, people often say the same things. Ultimately, they unanimously share that they are trying to “survive” networking. For many, it occurs as a “should”, something we know we should do. However, we jump in willingly, but feel unprepared to know what to do after we say hello. Networking can be easy, or it can be challenging and difficult.  With the proper training, coaching and support, it can be super fun and valuable. Without support and direction it can become a disaster, and leaves people feeling unsure of  themselves, unclear of what to say or do while at the event or after. It can be expensive, time-consuming and often doesn’t net people the results they’d hoped for. What if it were easy? What if you had the knowledge and tools to be a “pro” at networking….at formal and informal events?   What if you could network like a Rock Star, gain confidence, develop leadership and presence, and have others seek you out for connections and conversations? People have given me two fun names over the years: “The World’s Best Networking Coach” and “The Queen of Networking”. Well, I love people, and I’ve been well-trained. I’d love to pass this info on to you.   Join me for “Networking Savvy: 30 Days to Connect and Grow” which launches on Friday, April 26th at 4 p.m. Yes, for only 30 days you will receive content, coaching, and connections…..a Big Win for those that participate. Live events, online events, big and small are all here to help you grow. Events make money! Yes, they really do, and you can always make more than you spend to attend them. They are an investment. You, too, can make money, gain new connections and clients by hosting, sponsoring and attending events! In fact, right now, there are so many events happening in Atlanta and around the country that you just might get registered for all of them and reap the benefits that will come to you easily, if you just commit and show up. You may need an adventurous attitude, and a willingness to learn what’s trending in the marketplace today. It may mean digging into your checkbook, driving to an inconvenient part of town, or even flying to another city. Once you’re there, magic can happen. However, you must be prepared. You must be clear who you are, and be ready to give, share, connect and receive all of the great information that is shared by presenters and hosts. Go early, stay late, make a point to use the event for your advancement. I love sitting with new people and making new friends. I love hearing what people are up to, what cutting edge activities that make a difference in their business. Joining up with new friends for lunch and at breaks is invaluable! I can see my friends anytime, but I attend events to learn and meet and expand my network. Here are a few of the current events that I’m either leading or participating in. Join the fun! Be heard. Be known. Get hired. We all want that, right? I do. In the cluttered entrepreneurial marketplace, we must engage in activities that expand our presence so that potential clients may know, like, trust, and also hire us. Unless we are participating in strategic on-line and off-line activities, we are missing the boat, and missing real opportunities to connect with those that truly want to hear our personal message. According to Thesaurus.com, “Presence is the ability to project a sense of ease, poise, or self-assurance, especially the quality or manner of a person’s bearing before an audience.” Over the next few weeks I’ll be exploring and sharing about the concept of professional presence with you via social media and in-person events and conversations. I’m going to speak about the importance of expanding our presence, getting known, exploring new avenues and audiences, to that we can also expand our impact in the world. Our clients expect that of us, and we are really excited to do this. However, we often just don’t know where to begin or what to do first or next. We are a bit shy, timid, and sometimes we are downright scared. So, I ask you this. Where do you need to bump up your presence this year? Is it online, by sharing more Facebook “lives”, webinars, articles and postings shared on social media? Maybe an upgraded web presence? Or would it be in your best interest to show up at new networking events, attending workshops and conferences, and possibly leading your own events and speaking on other people’s stages? Though it may seem daunting, and you are not sure which way to go, or which way to turn, I invite you to join forces with professionals who can support you and speed up the process, and help you create the results you intend. You owe it to yourself. You are worth it, and this is the year to expand your presence, and be seen, heard and known. [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Calling All Speakers!

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” make_fullwidth=”off” use_custom_width=”off” width_unit=”on” use_custom_gutter=”off” custom_padding=”1px|||” allow_player_pause=”off” parallax=”off” parallax_method=”off” make_equal=”off” parallax_1=”off” parallax_method_1=”off”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” custom_padding=”1px|||” _builder_version=”3.12″] I’ve been booking speakers for WPDN in Atlanta for 10 years, and before that, for 30 years in New England.  It’s one of the best things that I enjoy doing in my business. That is, putting on fun, spirited educational networking events for my tribe.  Providing a showcase for talented businesswomen speaks to my Core Values: Contribution, Generosity, Collaboration, Fun, and Making a Difference. We have an abundant amount of talent in the Atlanta area, all kinds of women leaders that inspire us, teach us, guide us, and coach us. It’s pretty darn great.   And I want to share a suggestion, a message that will help all Speakers, regardless of where you are located, as you plan out and book your calendars, so that you receive maximum visibility and optimal results from the engagements you book. Plan your locations, and be daring enough to step outside of your immediate geography.  What I see happening over and over, is great speakers getting booked in the same communities, speaking to the same people in a very compressed period of time.  Yes, it’s great to get booked.  It’s great to share your message, and speak to gain influence and new business and clients.  However, think from the perspective of the audience, the people you want to serve, and what inspires them to come out and see you.  Like simple economics, the law of supply and demand, if you are everywhere with the same people, in the same short monthly timeframe, your message and presence is diluted.  In fact, the opposite of what you want might occur.  People may stay away, only because they just heard you, know that you are speaking next week at….and the next week at…and the next month at…..There is no excitement, or enthusiasm to make the trek or investment. When I schedule Speakers, I ultimately book WPDN Members first, as it is a perk and privilege, and we want our Members to grow and be seen.  Then, we look elsewhere and work with those who have contacted us about getting in front of our audience.  Sometimes I chase local Speakers who are just not available on Wednesdays for WPDN….but I’ll get them, soon, one way or another! 🙂 They create a strong pull and desire simply by their unavailability and illusive schedule.  They are sought after and in high demand. Position yourself powerfully.  Create your professional speaker marketing materials and book yourself out of town, and meet some new people!  Visit another state, a region of a state, a fledgling professional association that is just coming on the scene.  Put some time between local presentations, so the audience isn’t numb and deaf to wanting to hear your message. Many of the area organizations often will contact me and ask  “Who can you recommend that is  a GREAT Speaker!”   I want to recommend YOU! Hope you found this message targeted, and know that it is given from my heart, as I want you to wildly succeed.  My Stand is #WomenProsper! [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Accentuate The Positive. Eliminate The Negative

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” make_fullwidth=”off” use_custom_width=”off” width_unit=”on” use_custom_gutter=”off” custom_padding=”1px|||” allow_player_pause=”off” parallax=”off” parallax_method=”off” make_equal=”off” parallax_1=”off” parallax_method_1=”off”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” custom_padding=”1px|||” _builder_version=”3.7.1″] Do you ever get down on yourself? Do you have creepy thoughts that say you are not good enough, and everyone out there is better than you? Is Negative Nelly occupying too much space in your brain, eroding your confidence and shrouding you in a veil of self-doubt? I have days like that. Yes, I really do. However, I’ve learned to stop them in their tracks, before I enter into the Danger Zone of No Return. The antidote to negativity is positivity, right? Yes. Negative thoughts will weigh you down, and positive thoughts will raise you up. They each have different vibrations, and one is much heavier than the other. If left alone, negative thoughts will be much harder to counteract . If you intention is to raise yourself up, then you must flood the brain with positive self-talk, even though you may not fully believe it….yet. Take a moment, (right now would be a good time for this), and start making a list of all your positive qualities. I’m charming, kind, compassionate, talented…..You get the picture. If you get stuck, then make them up, and simply own those words as if they were your own. Claim them, and know that they live inside of you, or you wouldn’t even have thought of them. Next, call a friend, and ask them to take 10 minutes with you, and share all of the positive qualities that they see in you. This is what I specifically ask my friends: “Tell me 10 things you love about me, and why I’m so fantastic.” The healing powers of such an exercise will surely out-weigh the negative thoughts that seep into our consciousness from time to time. It’s like drinking an elixir of delicious love. We all need love in order to grow and thrive. Just for fun, I invite you to click the link and listen to this old song…tried and true, a catchy melody, sung through the years by a stellar list of performers. Today I bring you Sir Paul McCartney….enjoy. Tap your feet and sing along and make it an amazing, powerful and positive day! https://youtu.be/cwp-IvX8VM8 [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]

Do You Deserve a V.I.P. Day? Yes, Definitely!

[et_pb_section bb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” make_fullwidth=”off” use_custom_width=”off” width_unit=”on” use_custom_gutter=”off” custom_padding=”1px|||” allow_player_pause=”off” parallax=”off” parallax_method=”off” make_equal=”off” parallax_1=”off” parallax_method_1=”off”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″][et_pb_text use_border_color=”off” border_color=”#ffffff” border_style=”solid” custom_padding=”1px|||” _builder_version=”3.7.1″] We’ve all heard of V.I.P. Days, or Deep Dive Days, or a Super Duper 1-1 Day with a Coach. But are they really worth the time and price? Do you really get what you pay for? Well, my vote is a resounding YES! I personally have participated in five V.I.P. Days, designed especially for ME. I loved that. Having all of that special attention focused on little ol’ me? However, once I agreed to the program, my unworthiness and small conversations started swirling around my brain. Anything to take me out….which is how fear shows up when we are about to embark on a bigger game. My own personal objections were: I cannot justify this payment. What if I don’t make good on my investment? Will they (the coach) really be there for me and help me grow? Will I show up prepared, ready to go, and commit to what we create? Blah blah, bla-bitty bla. (You know how it goes, right?) Here’s what I found out. The V.I.P. Day experiences all surpassed my expectations. During one experience the brand of Get Clients Everywhere was born. That was 9 years ago, and I’ve never looked back. I utilized other V.I.P. Days to build out my annual marketing/sales calendar and funnel, designed a couple of coaching programs, and created and practiced my Signature Talk. Priceless! For my personal clients, I’ve been able to design an incredible day, filled with value, focused on a few topic areas which produce massive results. Some focus areas include: Developing Your Signature Talk and Offer Jumpstart your Business: High-Level Strategies to Insure Clients and Revenue A Book Launch and Marketing and Speaking Strategy Creating Your Programs, Packages, and Pricing Designing Your Future Business Success The possibilities are endless! And the great news is that people really want that one-one or small experience to assist them with issues they are struggling with, and are eager for a breakthrough that breathes new life into their business. Your V.I.P. Day experience can also be shared with 3 – 5 others, which I also find very enjoyable and worthwhile. I have received great value in small group days, and love leading Group V.I.P. Days. Some people prefer being in a small group. Besides getting your own coaching “spot light”, you get to brainstorm with the group, and experience group support as you grow. People receive a lot with a smaller investment in the day. Fun is always an integral part of the experience! If you’ve been wondering if such an experience would be right for you, then please reach out, and let’s have a conversation to explore what could be possible. For the summer months, I’ll be offering some special pricing on V.I.P. Days and Group V.I.P Days to help you create your business makeover! [/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
