I am eager to contribute and support you in kicking off 2021 with some planning guidance, direction and gusto!
You don’t need me to convince you that it’s important to be happy in our business, because we all spend a lot of time there. Being happy in business and satisfied at work is good for everyone’s general health and well-being, and that includes your checkbook. Plus, it helps you and your team achieve more if you are happy and successful at reaching your goals. Planning and scheduling is a key activity for every business owner. Planning produces revenue, and revenue creates business growth and confidence. Sound good?
In the late 80’s I worked with David Allen, Author of the wildly popular book, “Getting Things Done”. Yes, I used to work in business development for David in New England. I still incorporate many of his teachings into the work that I do for myself, and lead my clients in specific planning activities as they continue to build and grow.
Left to our own devices….planning may seem daunting, even boring. Where do I go? What do I plan? How do I do this without giving myself a giant headache? I get it, I really do. It’s not my most favorite thing to do. But, when activities are done inside of community, things seem easier, and I’m inspired by participants and what they’ve accomplished. The structure of the day has me win!
So, I invite you to join me on this “Doing Does It Planning Day” and let’s plot out the first 90 days of 2021.
If you have the book, “Getting Things Done”, please bring it along! Bring stickies, markers, colored pens, your favorite cup of tea and of course ….your calendar.
Let’s do this together!
